Twelve days across the best of Argentina — the electric boulevards of Buenos Aires, the vast ancient ice of Patagonia, the glacial lakes and peaks of Bariloche, and the world-class Malbec country of Mendoza. Small group of 8, hosted by Alfie Laurence. March 10 – 21, 2027.
This is Argentina in full. Beginning in the grand European boulevards of Buenos Aires — tango shows, antique markets, and the particular electricity of a city that never quite sleeps — before flying south to the raw, end-of-the-world landscapes of Patagonia.
At the Estancia you'll ride horseback through open Patagonian countryside and come face to face with the Perito Moreno Glacier — a wall of ancient ice four kilometres wide that cracks and calves into milky water below. This is wilderness at its most dramatic.
From Patagonia, we fly north to Bariloche — Argentina's lake district — where glacial waters reflect snow-capped Andes peaks and the pace drops to something altogether more serene. Then west to Mendoza, Argentina's wine heartland, for two days exploring the vineyards of Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco, with gourmet lunches, Malbec tastings and Andean views.
Hosted by Alfie with a group of just 8 guests, this is a journey that balances adventure, culture and luxury — designed to feel effortless and utterly unforgettable. This trip will change the way you see the world.
Guided tours of Recoleta, Palermo, San Telmo and La Boca, plus an unforgettable tango performance in the heart of the city.
Stand metres from one of the world's most active glaciers, with walkways, viewpoints and the option of a boat excursion onto the milky glacial water.
A scenic circuit through Argentina's lake district — glacial waters, pine forests and panoramic Andean peaks from the chairlift at Cerro Otto.
Ride through open Patagonian grasslands at the estancia — gaucho country at its most elemental, with mountains on every horizon.
Two full days across Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco — private winery tours, gourmet vineyard lunches and premium Malbec tastings with the Andes as a backdrop.
An optional extension to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World — 275 falls across nearly four kilometres, explored from both the Brazilian and Argentine sides.
Land into one of the great cities of the world. A private transfer takes you from EZE into central Buenos Aires — wide boulevards, café culture and the particular electricity of a city that never quite sleeps. Time to settle in, decompress after the flight, and find your feet. The evening is yours: dinner nearby, a rooftop drink if the mood takes you, and a first taste of Argentine life.
A private city tour through the soul of Buenos Aires — the elegant streets of Recoleta, the vivid colours of La Boca, the cobblestones of San Telmo and the leafy neighbourhood of Palermo. There's time at your own pace for lunch, a food experience or a wine tasting in the afternoon. The evening belongs to tango: a performance that earns every superlative thrown at it, or a free evening to explore on your own terms.
An early start and a flight that crosses half a continent. By the time you touch down in El Calafate, the landscape has changed completely — bone-dry steppe, wind-bent trees, and the vast flatness of Patagonia stretching to every horizon. A private transfer to the hotel, time to decompress, and a long, unhurried dinner of lamb and Patagonian red wine. Tomorrow, the glacier.
A full day at one of the most extraordinary places on earth. Transfer through Los Glaciares National Park and straight to the glacier — a wall of ancient ice four kilometres wide, cracking and calving into milky water below. The walkways and viewpoints bring you closer than you expect; the Safari Náutico boat takes you closer still. Lunch inside the park, a scenic afternoon on the water, and a return to the hotel for a relaxed evening.
A slower morning out on the estancia — horseback riding through open Patagonian grasslands with the Andes as a backdrop and nothing but sky above. This is the Argentina the gaucho knows: elemental, unhurried and vast. Time to explore the estancia property at your own pace in the afternoon, with optional additional excursions for those who want more. A relaxed evening back at the hotel.
We leave the steppe behind and fly north to a different Argentina entirely. Bariloche sits on the southern shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, flanked by Andean peaks and surrounded by the forests and glacial lakes of Argentina's lake district. It's a town that rewards wandering — lakeside light that makes the evening last longer than it should, excellent food, and the kind of mountain air that clears the head. A relaxed arrival and the evening is yours to explore.
A full day to let Bariloche reveal itself. The scenic circuit along Circuito Chico winds through pine forest and around the edge of glacial lakes with the Andes close enough to feel real. An optional boat excursion onto Lake Nahuel Huapi, and the chairlift up Cerro Otto or Cerro Campanario for panoramic views that don't need a caption. The afternoon is entirely yours — a long lunch by the lake, a walk along the shore, or simply the pleasure of being somewhere this beautiful with nowhere else to be.
We leave the lakes behind and fly to Mendoza. The transfer from airport to wine region is a slow transition — from altitude to altitude, from mountain to mountain, the landscape warming and drying around you. Mendoza is Argentina's wine capital and it feels like it: low buildings, wide avenues, the Andes rising sharply to the west. A private transfer into the wine region and an evening wine dinner to set the tone for what follows.
A full day in the heartland of Argentine Malbec. Private transfers carry us through the Luján de Cuyo wine region, where some of Argentina's most celebrated bodegas sit at altitude beneath the Andes. Winery visits, barrel-room tours and the kind of long lunch at a vineyard that slows time down — good food, cold wine and mountain air. Optional sunset dinner or wine pairing in the evening at your own leisure.
A scenic drive south into the Valle de Uco, where Malbec is grown at altitude and the Andes are never far from view. Premium winery experiences, the option of a morning on horseback through rolling vineyard hills, and the kind of afternoon that drifts gently between tastings, terraces and conversation. A relaxed evening back at the lodge — the last full day before Buenos Aires calls us back.
A morning flight back to Buenos Aires — one last transfer, one last evening in the city. Time for a final afternoon of shopping in Palermo, a café stop in San Telmo, or simply walking streets that feel familiar now in a way they didn't at the start. Dinner together that evening — the kind of meal where the conversation drifts naturally to where we go next.
Breakfast and then the city is yours one last time. A final morning to linger over coffee, pick something up from a market, or simply walk. A private transfer to EZE when you're ready. You leave different from how you arrived — that's the point.
